DESICCANT PACKETS
Desiccant packets are used as a silica dehumidifier
to control moisture in contained environments. An
aluminosilicate clay compound which is a natural mineral
is used and is more economical and more absorbent than
silica gel. Some common uses include protection
of foods and medicines like popcorn, candy, pills and
vitamins. Also used to protect important documents
inside safes and lock boxes as well as musical and camera
equipment, electronics, leather, rubber, copper and more. White
sulfur-free Tyvek desiccant packets are recommended
for moisture protection of foods, medicines and exposed
electronic components.
